Questions & Answers

Q. I have seen a computer with a different specification - would you supply that instead?

A. We regularly review our recommendations to ensure we pick the best of what is currently available and that the selection will meet all business needs.  As a result we can only supply the computers from our list however you are of course free to purchase the computer yourself.

Q. How long will it take to get my new computer?

A. Once ordered your new computer will be installed within 10 working days and should it not be installed we will waive our provisioning charge. Depending on our own stock and the type of computer ordered we will often be able to install your computer within 2-3 days.

Q. I have seen Microsoft Home & Student which is cheaper, can I use that instead

A. Microsoft Office Home & Student is not licensed for commercial use and as such we cannot supply or install that version if we know the system is to be used for your work.  If you choose to purchase Home & Student yourself you will need to install the software and you should also be aware that it does not include Microsoft Outlook which is recommended to get the most from the CTS E-mail service.

Q. Can I use Microsoft Office from my old computer?

A. Unless Microsoft Office was supplied in it's own box then the answer is no.  Where Microsoft Office is bundled with the computer it is licensed only for use on that computer and it cannot be transferred to another.  If you did purchase a boxed copy of Microsoft Office then providing it is not installed on more computers than it should be then use you can use the Microsoft Office from your old computer.
