The ECHO Conference Room Manager allows you to book conference resources such as rooms, facilities (e.g. video conference) and be able to easily manage those bookings as well as present that information to others (e.g. Catering staff).
There are three types of conference room in ECHO:
These are phyisical rooms that are set aside for the purposes of meetings and conferences. Physical conference rooms will usually be indicated with a number or letter (e.g. 1, 2, 3 or A, B, C) and will always appear in the conference room planner whether they have bookings or not.
These are also physical rooms but are the offices of individuals. Personal conference rooms are indicated by the initials of the individual and will only appear in the conference planner when there is a booking for that day.
These are conference rooms that have particular services associated with them but no physical presence. For example these can be used for telephone or online conference rooms.
Virtual conference rooms will have their own dedicated indicators such as VC1, TC1 and like personal conference rooms will only appear in the planner when there is a booking for that day.
If you need to add more conference rooms you will need to request this from us as we may need to make adjustments to other aspects of ECHO (e.g. the Catering screens) to ensure the new rooms are shown and operate correctly.
The ability to manage personal and virtual conference rooms is a feature which we will be adding later in 2016 however changes to physical conference rooms will still need to be dealt with by us.
