If you experience difficulty receiving new Email on your Samsung Galaxy device it may have its Master Sync switched off. In this article we show you how to check whether or not Master Sync is switched off and how to switch it back on again.
You may have several Email accounts on your device and there can be occasions when you need to stop those accounts from syncing (e.g. you are abroad and want to ensure data charges are managed). The Samsung Galaxy device has a "master sync" feature which can be used to switch syncing on or off for all your accounts in one go.
When Master Sync is switched off your Email accounts will stop automatically being checked for new Email) however you can still initiate a manual check as and when needed).
There are a few ways you can tell if Master Sync has been disabled:
Switching your Master Sync on or off is very straightforwards.
The first thing we need to do is open the Notification Panel:
With the Notification Panel open and all buttons shown, you should now find the Master Sync button which will be green when Sync is on and grey when Sync is disabled for all accounts.
Tap {0} the icon to switch the Master Sync on or off.
